oceans of violets and blues
memories of me and you.
your laughter can still be heard
in the back of my mind
we used to run into the night
now you are out of my sight
i sometimes struggle to find sense
at times hide behind my fence
now i write my book
but look what it took
sunsets going down
stars falling to the ground
pick up my crown
and still run around our old town.
